MTV interview of Twilight actor Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen): “We are undead. We will never die"

MTV spoke with Kellan Lutz who played Emmett Cullen in the Twilight films. Lutz commented on the new Twilight films project.

"Well, that's very innovative. I have to hand it to Summit and Lionsgate," said Lutz. "It seems like it's going to be really interactie as well, with Facebook fans being able to voice their opinions. I just think it's a really cool ideas. They better not give my character away."

Emmett Cullen is one of the characters on the list as a potential star in the upcoming films. The public can vote on which characters they want to see in the films.

Lutz is glad for what the Twilight films did for his career. "Twilight was such a blessing..." Even if Lutz does not star in the new short Twilight films he is positive.

"We are undead. We will never die. We will always be there," Lutz said.

Princess Leia walks Streets of Manhattan to humorous comments of Star Wars Characters

Princess Leia actor walked silently through the streets of Manhattan, while Darth Vadar, Luke Skywalker, Hans Solo and others make humorous comments.

"Judge me by my size, will you?" comments Yoda.

"You want this, don't you?" says the evil Emperor.

"I'm Luke Skywalker and I'm here to rescue you."

The video is a send-up of the Hollaback! public service announcement, which deals with the serious issue of street harassment. The parody is humorous without taking away from Hollaback! serious message.

Voting is now open for choosing the next starring characters for the official new Twilight films. Voting is open to the public.

Six short films will be created. Supporters of the new film projects include Kristen Stewart, Stephenie Meyer, Lionsgate films, Facebook and Volvo.

Kristen Stewart & Stephenie Meyer Promote Contest: You Can Make an Official Twilight Film

Kristen Stewart and Stephanie Meyer are recruiting women filmmakers and scriptwriters to create up to 6 new Twilight films. Lionsgate, Volvo and Facebook are supporting the project. A grandprize winner will receive $100,000 dollars and a new Volvo car.

The project entitled, "The Storytellers New Voices of the Twilight Saga", is to create 6 short films The project is in several phases. Phase 1 is for public vote on which characters to portray for the Twilight Saga. The top 10 characters will be used for the films.

 Phase 2 is for a 500 word film proposal. Winners of that round can go onto Phase 3, the scriptwriting phase. Phase 4 is for filmmakers to pitch themselves as possible directors for the pictures. In Phase 5 the directors will create their original Twilight films.

All women filmmakers are invited to create a wildcard submission of their film, even if they were not picked in the earlier phases.

Five New Twilight Films to be Released. Kristen Stewart and Stephenie Meyer involved in project

 Stephenie Meyer and Lionsgate have partnered with Facebook to release five short Twilight Films: "The Storytellers: New Voices of the Twilight Saga"

Kristen Stewart, Stephenie Meyer, "Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke, actor Kate Winslet, "Frozen" director Jennifer Lee, producer Cathy Schulman, Ocatavia Spencer, and Julie Bowen will be on a panel of judges to pick five woman directors to make the films.

The films will take place in the Twilight universe, with Twilight characters. Actors from the original movies are not expected to be in the short films--although there are rumors that Kristen Stewart may appear in the films. Lionsgate said it will spend a "significant" amount of money on the short films.

Will there be a sixth Twilight full length movie? Lionsgate vice chairperson Michael Burns said the five short films project "...is just a beginning--a template if you will. You can probably guess what might be coming next." Popular speculation is that a sixth Twilight movie would center around Renesmee and Jacob's relationship.

The short Twilight films will be released on Facebook in 2015. "We think Facebook is a great way for us to introduce the world of "Twilight" to a whole new audience while re-energizing existing fans," said Burns.

Women in Film organization is supporting the Twilight short films. "The female voice is something that has become more and more important to me as I've worked in the film industry," Stephenie Meyer said.
