Vote for the screenplay concept for the next official Twilight Movie.
Stephenie Meyer and Lionsgate have partnered with Facebook to release five short Twilight Films: "The Storytellers: New Creative Voices of the Twilight Saga".
Kristen Stewart, Stephenie Meyer,
"Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke, actor Kate Winslet,
and "Frozen" director Jennifer Lee will be on a panel of judges to pick five woman
screenwriters and directors to make the films.
The films will take place in the
Twilight universe, with Twilight characters.
Of the 40 screenplays picked so far, only 5 will be made into films. The stories range from Carlisle and Esme's love story, to Alice's escape from a mental institute. Even Volturi Jane has a screenplay concept for her.

Even if a filmmaker is not picked to write the screenplay or direct a Twilight film, they can still submit a "wildcard film". Anyone who is 13 years and older, and female can submit a wildcard film.
The short Twilight films will be
released on Facebook in 2015. "We think Facebook is a great way for us to
introduce the world of "Twilight" to a whole new audience while
re-energizing existing fans," said Burns of Lionsgate.
The Women in Film organization is
supporting the Twilight short films. "The female voice is something that
has become more and more important to me as I've worked in the film
industry," Stephenie Meyer said.
Phase one of the Twilight project involved the public voting on the top ten characters to be protagonists for the new films. The voting for most popular characters for the new Twilight Films is
over. Alice Cullen was the top pick.
Phase two was screenplay outlines being accepted from the public.
The film project, New Voices of the Twilight Saga, now moves onto the screenplay outline public voting phase.
